BIG SIGH.... I really missed my hair stylist while I was in TX for the holidays...and today we were reunited and it feels so good. Sing it with me now....LOL
So while my stylist was doing my hair, she was telling me about some struggles she is experiencing because she is trying to help people (SMH ain't that a shame)....because she wants to be an agent for change in her reach of influence. Which is wonderful..and something we should all strive to do.
Unfortunately, there are people who you try to help and they aren't helpable (I know...it doesn't have to be a word cause it's a FAREism). Especially when their actions are affecting your business, your business reputation and your business brand. As a small business owner, you can't hire just anyone, you can't serve everyone in the 'hood...even when you want to....
Why not FARE??? Well the bottom line is, this ain't personal...this is business. And because I do help my community, when my businesses prosper, I give back and my community prospers with me. If I allow "Pookie and RayRay and nem" to negatively affect my business because I'm trying to help them come up, then we all stay down. So, see...this is a "for the greater good" situation.
So point being...you may have to come to terms with this situation someday and just fire somebody. Don't feel bad about it. It's not personal. It's truly business.
And if you ever get fired...don't take it personal, even if the person has a personal type of vendetta against you in the work place. You most likely are not valued in that situation, where you are not performing well or they just don't like you...you are not valued...move on.
Ahhhhh at last, I wish I could think this clearly about love, relationships and matters of the heart. LOL
Like everything and everyone...it's all a work in progress...
